Transpiration Stream Within a Tree

Water Vapour transpires (evaporates) constantly through pores (stomata) in the surface of a plant's leaves. Fresh supplies of moisture enter the plant's roots from the soil. Root pressure forces the water up the stream, where capillary action draws if further in a continuous 'transportation stream'
